Winter Escapes to Costa Rica – Part 2

February 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Despite a brief (3-day) warmup into the 50s, Thursday and going forward we’ll be below 40 again in Central-PA.
So, despite the end of February approaching, Costa Rica still sounds like a beautiful place to visit !

Coincidentally, ArtsAltoona staff member Leah is visiting Costa Rica this week for a mural-painting Arts-project headed by Pam Snyder Etters and her www.MuralsTalk.com cultural outreach. This presentation will also share the work and “beautification” of a Costa Rican community going on right now.

Enjoy video clips and various information of the wide range of exotic animals and plants, plus the stunning landscapes of Costa Rica. From the sandy or rocky Pacific coast to the lush banks of inland rivers and the significant mountains (and volcanic activity) of the center of this beautiful Central-American country.
The range of flora & fauna is just amazing to see !

Harald Dertinger presents pictures, facts and information on a tropical paradise about a 2.5 hour flight South of Pennsylvania – actually a bit closer than Las Vegas for instance. Twice the size of the State of Maryland, and bordering on Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the South, Costa Rica has a population of just over 5 million.

This is the final part of our 2-part mini-series, after the initial picture presentation on January 27th. Video can be viewed @ ArtsAltoona/Videos/CostaRica-1

This event is Free of charge !

However, donations to ArtsAltoona’s mission fulfillment and cultural outreach are always greatly appreciated !

This way you can support our After School Arts Program (ASAP), and our broad range of music, cultural and artistic programs and activities for young and old !
