You’ve heard the name, but who was Konstantin Stanislavski? He was a Russian actor, director, and teacher who impacted the art of acting enormously. His fame derives mainly from his “system” of actor training and preparation for performance.
Also discussed will be the methods of three legendary acting instructors: Lee Strasberg, whose institute trained Sally Field, Alec Baldwin, Laura Dern, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, among many others; Sanford (Sandy) Meisner, who taught Maureen Stapleton, Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, Jeff Goldblum, among many others; and Stella Adler, whose conservatory trained Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando, Salma Hayek, Martin Sheen, among many others.
