Mass N Tha Grass Music & Arts Festival 2022 is going to be this year’s largest celebration of alternative music, arts, and lifestyles in Altoona, PA. What started as a small backyard festival composed of musical acts ranging from us and our friends, to friends of friends, has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. We will be featuring some of the best local acts around, as well as musicians from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia and beyond.
We will be greatly expanding our offerings in 2022, as we want to create a festival that grows and makes progress with each passing year. This means even more art/craft/food vendors, activities & workshops, a professional sound setup, better stage production, and a wider range of musical styles. This is all being put together in hopes that the experience will be even more memorable and worthwhile for everyone involved.
This event is truly for the music and arts community in Altoona, PA, and is a way for us all to break free from the monotony of everyday life, support our friends and local creators, and celebrate the greatness that exists here. For 3 days in August, we get to create our own little community and economy in a small, scenic nook just over Skelp Mountain. Surrounded by neighboring farmland, golf course greens, and winding country roads, the liveliness and energy of our event exists in a stark contrast to the calm landscapes that surround us.
We are simply grateful to have the opportunity to bring such an experience back to the area for our 3rd year in operation. The more good energy and positivity we put into this festival, the more we can actively be a part of shaping the landscape of the local music and arts scene. We just want to prove that regular people can do great things when we work together on a shared vision, and that you don’t need to be a large corporation with vast money and resources in order to affect real change and progress.
